Your Azure Environment

Upon completing your onboarding, an invitation link will be sent to your email to finalize the setup of your Azure environment which includes access to Azure Portal, Cloudvanti Sitecore Management Portal in Azure DevOps, and Fastly CDN.

Fastly CDN

The Fastly CDN is used as the network infrastructure which accelerates website performance and provides you with numerous benefits. For more details on Fastly CDN, you may refer to it here.

Azure Resource Group

Azure resources that will be provided to you will be based on your choice of Sitecore topology. If you subscribe to Sitecore XM topology, you will get 2 App Services for CM & CD in the Production environment and 1 App Service for the Staging environment. If you subscribe to Sitecore XP topology, you will get all the resources from the XM topology with additional App Services and Database to support the XConnect functionality.

Sitecore XM Topology contains only the necessary features for a CMS. The Staging environment is for testing purposes, so a standalone website used instead of CM/CD. Below are the resources that you can access if you subscribe to Cloudvanti Sitecore XM Topology

  • Staging Environment, the environment for testing features before being published.
    • Azure App Service, for hosting the Staging website, connected to Fastly CDN and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Azure SQL Server, which contains Core, Master, Web, and Forms databases that are essential to Sitecore.
    • Azure Search, which will power all of Sitecore's search functionality.
    • Azure Redis Cache, Provides a high-performance cache for storing Sitecore sessions.
    • Application Insight, to monitor and store logs from the websites.
  • Production Environment, the environment for live websites, where public users access it.
    • App Services for CM and CD, App Services for CM and CD role that are already configured with Fastly CDN and CI/CD pipeline into the deployment slot for load balancing and to minimize downtime when deployed.
    • Azure SQL Database, which contains Core, Master, Web, and Forms databases that are essential to Sitecore.
    • Azure Search, which will power all of Sitecore's search functionality.
    • Azure Redis Cache, Provides a high-performance cache for storing Sitecore sessions.
    • Application Insight, to monitor and store logs from the websites.
  • Azure Storage, for storing application and database backups.
  • Log Analytics Workspace, a repository of all recent logs from Web Application, CDN, etc.

Sitecore XP Topology

Sitecore XP is a Sitecore CMS with additional features for digital marketing and analytics. The additional features that are available to Sitecore XP are called XDB. Sitecore XP will have all the resources and functionality of Sitecore XM with additional Web Apps, Databases, and Azure Resources to support XDB features.

  • Staging Environment, the environment for testing features before being published.
